Healthy Home Consultation
This 2 hour home visit answers all your questions about how to maintain a home free from lead paint hazards. We visit your home and help you determine the places in your home where lead paint is a hazard to you, children, or pets. Then you can focus on targeted, simple steps to stop exposures at the source quickly and efficiently.
During the consultation, we will show you how to use the Healthy Home Instant Lead Test Kit (provided) and assist you in testing any areas of concern and interpreting the results to expose invisible potential lead hazards.
This is not an independent lead inspection and remains totally confidential with no written report or findings. In fact, you are performing the testing during the visit with us there to explain the proper use of the tester, how to interpret results, and ideas of where to test. Additionally, we will work with you to develop strategies for maintenance, repair, or renovation, depending on your plans. We will provide tips and information for how to properly vet and oversee any paid tradespeople you may have perform work to ensure it is done safely.
If lead is present, we provide instruction on immediate low-cost cleaning, repainting, and repair methods you or your contractor can follow to eliminate the hazards easily and affordably.
